The plot of Aadi Shambala is set in a remote village in the 1980s. One fine day, a meteor crashes in the village and from then on, the peace of the village is shattered. After the incident, several terrifying things begin to happen in the village. Animals act strangely, people behave weirdly, and several villagers die without explanation. The villagers are petrified, believing that an ancient supernatural force or a curse from their gods is the reason behind the evil happenings. A scientist named Vikram (Aadi Saikumar) arrives in the village to investigate the matter. He is a logical person. He does not believe in ghosts or superstitions. He wants to use science to find a logical reason for the meteor's impact and the unusual events following it. During his research, he meets Devi (Archana Iyer), a local woman who understands the village’s traditions and legends. She helps him learn about the land’s mystical past and the stories that the elders tell. As Vikram and Devi work together, they find shocking links between the fallen object and the village's ancient beliefs. Vikram is forced to look at both scientific facts and local folklore to solve the mystery. He quickly realizes that some things might be harder to explain with science than he first thought.
